ePlus Architects designed the contemporary home on the one-acre property. The landscape design needed to be simple and dramatic in order to complement the building, provide privacy and be relatively simple to maintain. The quartzite stones were set vertically in curving lines and softened with blossoming trees and shrubs. A fishpond set at the rear of the house was enclosed on three sides by the building and can be traversed on the horizontally set quartzite pathway. The perimeter hedge is quickly establishing to provide screening to the corner site. I worked alongside builders. Earthworks assistance was provided by local company DLE for a seamless installation process.
